How to Apply
Eligibility
To meet eligibility requirements to receive academic accommodations at Madera Community College, students must complete the following:
- Students are to complete the DSP&S Online Application using the DSP&S AIM Portal. Please follow the instructions under the “Application Process for DSP&S Program” to register.
- To complete the application process, please upload a digital copy of verified documentation of disability from a doctor, practitioner, or other qualified individual.
- Please also include any IEP (Individual Education Plan) or 504 documents that were received from K-12 that may assist in determining academic accommodations.
- An appointment with a DSP&S counselor will be required to review your application and documentation to determine eligibility which includes the student’s functional limitations on campus and how other academic accommodations may assist the student at Madera Community College.

Application Process for DSP&S Program
How to apply for the DSP&S Program:
- Select “My Portal” on the Madera Community College website.
- Login to Madera Community College Portal with your username and password.
- Select “Apps Catalog”
- Select the “DSP&S AIM Portal”
Quick Tip: Select the 3 lines on the top right corner and choose the option “Add to my favorites”. The DSPS AIM Portal will now be on the student’s home screen dashboard making it easier to access on the next login.
- Select “New Student?” and complete the online application for the DSP&S office. If interested in testing for a learning disability, please indicate on the application in the notes.
- At the end of the application, type in the student’s full name, then select “Submit Application”.
- Please upload your disability verification and supporting documentation.
- Once submitted, a DSP&S staff member will contact you in 1–2 business days to schedule an intake appointment with a DSP&S Counselor.
- Documentation of disability IS REQUIRED to be a part of the Disabled Students Program.
- Verification documentation needs to include the minimum of:
- Student’s name
- Date form/letter was completed
- Diagnosis
- Medical Provider & Signature
