Direct Stafford Loans, from the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, are low-interest loans for eligible students to help cover the cost of higher education at a four-year college or university, community college, or trade, career, or technical school. Eligible students borrow directly from the U.S. Department of Education at participating schools.
You must first complete a FAFSA and your financial aid eligibility must be determined before applying for a loan.
Step 1: Complete the Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling. Step 2: Complete the MCC Loan Request FormYour financial aid eligibility must be determined before applying for a loan. Submit a COMPLETED Direct Loan Request form to the Financial Aid Office. Requests submitted with missing or blank information will not be accepted or processed.
