Students who plan to transfer to the California State University (CSU) system, the University of California (UC) system, or to a private or out-of-state university should make an education plan with a counselor. This will ensure you meet the requirements for the specific institution you plan to attend.
California State University (CSU)
Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) units of CSU-transferable units, of which 30 semester (45 quarter) units are at a level equivalent to general education courses.
Earn at least a 2.0 GPA in CSU-transferable courses (2.4 if you're a nonresident).
Some campuses and majors may require a higher GPA for admission selection.
Be in good standing at the last college or university attended.
Complete with a grade of C- or better in Oral Communication, Written Communication, Critical Thinking, and Math/Quantitative Reasoning.
Complete the required/recommended courses needed for your intended major with the minimum grades.

University Of California (UC)
Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) units of UC-transferable units.
Earn at least a 2.4 GPA in UC-transferable courses (2.8 if you're a nonresident).

Complete the following 7-course pattern by the of the spring term prior to fall enrollment at UC.
Two transferable courses in English composition;
One transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning;
Four transferable college courses chosen from at least two of the following subject areas:
arts and humanities
social and behavioral sciences
physical and biological sciences
Complete the required/recommended courses needed for your intended major with the minimum grades.
