Parking Lot Resurfacing

We will be conducting more work to complete our Parking Lot A WiFi project, and the sequence of events have been adjusted to allow for overlapping work by the WiFi contractor and the contractor performing the resurfacing work.

Beginning Monday, March 18, we will be beginning two projects in Parking Lot A, both of which will have a major impact on parking operations on campus. Please read the message below carefully.

We will be conducting more work to complete our Parking Lot A WiFi project, and the sequence of events have been adjusted to allow for overlapping work by the WiFi contractor and the contractor performing the resurfacing work.

  • Phase 1 – Paving work is currently scheduled to begin on Monday, March 18 and run through May 1. That timeline is dependent on weather and other construction-related factors so it may and likely will vary. During this work, the uncovered portion of Parking Lot A that is closest to Avenue 12 will be blocked off. If you use Parking Lot A to drive over to the roundabout in front of the flag poles, you may not be able to do that during the Phase 1 work.
  • Phase 2 – WiFi work is currently scheduled to begin on Monday, March 18. Beginning March 18, the WiFi contractor will be closing off some spaces under the solar panels, but other portions of Parking Lot A will remain open for parking. It is possible that beginning Monday, March 18, the WiFi contractor may need to close off Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station, so if you charge your EV on campus, be prepared that it may or may not be available on any given day. Resurfacing in this area and full closure will begin on May 20.

We anticipate all of Parking Lot A being fully closed during Spring Break (March 25-28).

  • Use Parking Lot C – we have 333 parking spaces available in Parking Lot C (next to the soccer field), more than enough to absorb the spaces that will be inaccessible in Parking Lot A during both phases.
  • Parking Lot B also available – Parking Lot B outside of Academic Village 2 may also be used, however that parking lot does fill up quickly Monday through Thursday each week during the semester. If you attempt to use Parking Lot B and it’s full, you can access Parking Lot C using the paved road that connects both lots.
