The consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and distracted driving were demonstrated on campus August 27th at the Arrive Alive Driving Simulator. Dozens of students got behind the wheel, put on a virtual reality headset and experienced firsthand what could happen if you choose to drive impaired. The simulation lasted for about a minute before students “crashed,” and were given a “ticket.” The hope is that students will think twice before putting themselves in a possible deadly situation or involved in an accident.
