Services Provided:

Camarena Health is a community-based healthcare provider serving families and communities in Madera, Fresno, Chowchilla and Oakhurst.  Our services include: Medical, Dental, Optometry, Women’s Care, Vision, Chiropractic, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Pediatric, Outreach, Urgent care, Tele-psychiatry, Health Education and Insurance Enrollment.

About us:

Camarena has been serving Madera and the surrounding areas for over 40 years and continues to expand to Eastern Madera and the city of Fresno.  In 2019, we focused on ensuring nearly 47,000 patients with health care services and provided nearly 250,000 patient visits.

Student community: 

Camarena Health is proud to support and provide internships to our local students.  This opportunity allows students to be onsite to learn and work at our facilities.  Through the internship program, students are provided with different job shadowing experiences.  Students are paired with our medical staff along with our outreach team to provide support to our community.  These experiences are invaluable as they prepare the students for the workforce in a healthcare setting.

Hometown Scholars Program: (Programs-Teaching Health Center Program)

Individuals that are compassionate, and community-minded that are interested in becoming a Physician Assistant can apply for this program. Central Valley area students chosen will be endorsed for acceptance into A.T. Still University’s Masters of Health Science Program to continue their career in healthcare.

CAM Health outreach internship Program: (Programs-Teaching Health Center Program)

The goal of this internship is to prepare young professionals for careers in health care or to gain vital experience in preparation for professional or medical school.  Interns are responsible for assisting and supporting the outreach team with a variety of public health initiatives. Interns were in charge of the development and implementation of education on health center programs and services.

Social Media Marketing & Communications Internship: (Careers)

The ideal candidate will have social media management experience and is up to speed on current trends and strategies. They bring new and fresh ideas to the table and lead by example.  Ability to conceive and create original artwork/graphic designs is desired.
