There are two new faces at Madera and Oakhurst Community College Centers who have been brought on board to fill very important roles to our campuses.
Marie Harris has been named Interim Vice President of Learning and Student Success (Instruction and Student Services). This interim appointment will be for one year. Marie comes to MCCC/OCCC from Reedley College, where she was an Instructional Dean for almost seven years and has most recently assumed responsibilities over the athletic department. Marie has an extensive business background including project management, non-profit management, grants management, workforce and community development, economic and business development, communications, and marketing. She has a proven track record of civic engagement specializing in working with underrepresented populations. She is very well respected for her work at Reedley College and throughout the district.
Maria Battisti is the first Vice President of Administrative Services for both Madera and Oakhurst campuses.
Maria comes to us from the West Hills Community College District, where she was the Grants Accounting Services Supervisor for over five years. She also served our country in the United States Air Force. Maria has over ten years in accounting experience primarily with governmental funds. Maria is passionate about student success and looks forward to serving all student needs.
